Product detailed description
Christmas Carols for Piano Four Hands in a Modern Style + Online Audio
This unique collection presents traditional Czech and Moravian Christmas carols in thoughtfully modernized musical arrangements. Pavel Holubec uses richer harmonies, subtle chromatic passages and denser sonorities to give familiar melodies a fresh, festive and slightly unexpected character. At the same time, the clarity and simplicity of the traditional melodies remain intact, allowing the arrangements to sound natural while respecting their musical heritage.
Piano Four Hands
The arrangements are written for two pianists and are designed to be accessible to students as well as more advanced players.
Online Recordings
The publication includes online recordings for both players, providing useful support for practising, phrasing and learning the individual parts.
Modern harmonic elements enrich the familiar carols without unnecessarily complicating their technical demands. The result is a collection that combines traditional melodies with a fresh and distinctive sound.
