Guitar suites and sketches for young players
“Suites and Sketches” by Stanislav Juřica continue the previous volumes of “Easy Guitar Pieces” and represent their natural continuation. The collection is a suitable instructional supplement to any beginner guitar method, with the individual pieces accompanied by concise performance instructions. The publication is primarily intended for students in grades 3 to 5 of basic art schools, approximately 10 to 13 years old. The collection also includes the “Moravian Microsuite”, presented in two versions, as a solo version and as a version for voice with guitar accompaniment. This particular copy has a damaged laminated cover, while the musical content itself is suitable for regular study and playing.

The author has long been involved in teaching and creating instructional guitar literature.
Suites and Sketches are a continuation of the previous volumes of Easy Guitar Pieces. They are therefore also a suitable instructional supplement to any beginner guitar method. The pieces are accompanied by concise instructions. The Moravian Microsuite is presented here in two versions, as a solo version, where the text serves only an articulatory purpose, and as a version for voice with guitar accompaniment. These pieces are intended for students in grades 3 to 5 of basic art schools, aged 10 to 13.
Stanislav Juřica worked as a teacher at the Conservatory in Pardubice from its establishment in 1978 until 2018. During this period, he taught numerous notable guitar soloists and teachers, and since 2010 he has also taught at the Basic Art School in Přelouč.
For more than thirty years, he worked as an accredited lecturer in continuing education for music-school teachers and, together with Martin Mysliveček and Olga Dvorská, founded and directed the International Guitar Festival with master classes in Mikulov for twenty years. He is the author of well-known publications in the field of instructional guitar literature as well as transcriptions of Renaissance and Baroque music for guitar and lute.
