“December is the last month of the year. It is a time of fairy tales, songs and beautiful dreaming. It is a magical time, especially for our children.” The December atmosphere is the central theme of Christmas Singing and Devilish Babbling. Twenty-three songs take children into a world of Christmas, winter and devilish stories. Some songs are cheerful and mischievous, while others create a calmer festive mood. The repertoire features motifs such as the Christmas tree, stars, icicles, Christmas baking and waiting for Christmas. The devil-themed songs bring humor, fun and playfulness that children can easily relate to. Lenka Jakešová is an author of children's books, songs and fairy tales whose work also focuses on the musical and literary world of children. Saša Kolářová is a co-author of the publication and works in education and music, including teaching piano and flute. Both authors have also collaborated on other songbooks and publications intended for children.
