“Christmas Songs for Flute Quartet brings you engaging arrangements of well-known Christmas carols from around the world, from classical pieces to modern ones.” The variety of the repertoire is one of the main strengths of this publication. Alongside traditional melodies, you will find popular Christmas songs known to listeners across generations. The individual arrangements have varied levels of difficulty, allowing players of different abilities to perform together. The publication is therefore suitable not only for more experienced chamber ensembles, but also as a practical supplement to music-school education. Four flutes create a rich chamber sound and give familiar Christmas melodies a fresh character. Thanks to the separate parts, players can work directly with their own individual lines, while the full score provides an overview of the complete arrangement. The result is a practical Christmas title intended for ensemble playing, rehearsals and pre-Christmas performances.
Karel Studnička is the arranger of this publication and has adapted well-known Christmas carols from around the world for flute quartet. His arrangements combine traditional Christmas repertoire with more modern popular songs. The publication is part of the Notovna.cz selection dedicated to chamber music for concert flute.
